Sapota (Chikoo) Kesari Recipe

A variation to regular kesari with goodness of milk and flavour of fresh sapota. It's a simple yet delicious dessert

Ingredients:
  • Sapota (Chikoo) – 4, big, peeled, chopped
  • Rawa – 150 gms
  • Ghee – 50 gms
  • Sugar – 200 gms
  • Sunflower Oil – 10 ml
  • Cashewnuts – 2 tsp
  • Raisins – 2 tsp
  • Cardamoms – 5, powdered

Instructions:
  • Grind the sapota pieces in a mixie and remove.
  • Heat oil in a pan over medium flame.
  • Fry the cashewnuts, raisins and rawa for 2 minutes or until golden.
  • Add the sapota, sugar and 200 ml of water.
  • Mix well and simmer for a few minutes.
  • Add the cardamom powder and stir gently.
  • Add ghee and stir again.
  • Remove from flame and cool.
  • Serve.
