Indonesian Fresh Cucumber Pickles (Acar Ketimun)

This pickles is so tasty and refreshing. Good for a side dish or just eat it like that.

Here I am sharing the recipe. 


  1. 1 cucumber peel the skin, remove the seed and cut long or cube
  2. 1 carrot peel the skin and cut tiny long or cube
  3. 1 big shallot peel the skin and tiny slices or cut in cube
  4. 4-5 Thai chilies (bird-eye chili) remove the stems and chopped
  5. 1-2 tbsp white winegar (more or less)
  6. 1 tbsp white sugar (more or less)
  7. Salt to taste
  8. 2 or more tbsp water (optional)


  1. Mix all ingredients in the bowl, mix well and taste it.
  2. Transfer to the container, cover with a lid and store it in the refrigerator until ready to use. Minimum I put it in the refrigerator for at least 30 minutes before consuming.
  3. Then enjoy!
